The competitive examination centre was established in the year 2007. Day by day the centre has gained its importance in North Maharashtra University region. The centre, which was previously funded by North Maharashtra University was known as Chankaya Competitive Examination Guidance Centre. Now it has become self-reliant. Till date around 153students of the centre have cleared MPSC/Police/ Banking, etc examination out of which 97 are placed on different posts of Class-I, Class-II and Class-III officers.
The center has developed a state of the art Air Conditioned reading hall having seating capacity of 200 students. The reading hall is open from 06 am to 11 pm. Aspirants from all over the state join the centre to study for the various competitive examinations. From the year 2012 till date about 2577 students took the benefit of the reading hall. Centre also runs the guidance classes for various competitive examinations like UPSC, MPSC, BANKING services, etc.
To inculcate the passion of competitive examinations among the students of the state the centre has started ‘Jidnyasa’ a competitive examination based on the syllabus of Public service commission. For this examination, a question bank of 10,000 questions and answers is published. From the year 2012 till date about 15961 students from all over Maharashtra appeared for the examination and some of them bagged the cash prizes of worth 2 lacs per annum. The centre has gained a name in the field competitive examinations in the state.
