National Service Scheme (NSS)

Aims and Objectives

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS.

  • The programme aims to in calculate social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias. 
  • NSS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity. In doing so, volunteers learn from people in villages how to lead a good life despite a scarcity of resources. 
  • it also provides help in natural and man-made disasters by providingfood, clothing and first aid to the disaster victims.

  2. Celebration of Guru Pournima on 19 July, 2016 by NSS Volunteers in the presence of the Principal & faculty.
  3. Hiroshima Day – Oraginization of  seminar on the topic “Towards Transforming the World” on Hiroshima Day (6 Aug., 2016) jointly by Gandhi Research Foundation  &  Dr. Annasaheb G. D. Bendale Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Jalgaon in the august presence of Dr. Yugal Rayalu, HR Campaigner & peace activist Nagpur.
  4. Celebration of Krantidin on 9th August, 2016 – Prof. Dipak Kinge delivered a lecture.
  5. Cleaning of the college campus on 14th August 2016.
  6. Celebration of Independence Day.
  7. Celebration of Rakshabandhan on 18 August, 2016 by NSS volunteers at Remand Home, Jalgaon.
  8. Sadbhavana Divas celebration on 20 August, 2016. Volunteers were given pledge on the occasion.
  9. Teachers’ Day celebrated on 5 September, 2016 in the august presence Mrs. S. B. Waykole, the Vice Principal.

  13. Participation of N. S. S. Programme Officer Mrs. Smita Chauahri & 08 volunteers in “Digital India Workshop” on 14 Oct. 2016. Team own second Prize in Poster Making Competition organized as part of this workshop.
  14. Celebration of National Education Day by organizing lecture and rally.
  15. Organization of Mass Rally on AIDS Day on 1 Dec., 2016.
  16. Organization of Special Winter Camp during 14 – 20 Dec., 2016 at Health Centre NMU, Jalgaon. The camp was inauguarated by ex- serviceman Shri.   Devidas Natthu Sonawane.
  17. Cashless Awareness Abhiyan (Ek Paul Digital Sakshartekade) : Workshop on cashless awareness organized jointly by CSC, SBI and the college NSS Unit on 29 Dec., 2016.
  18. Rashtriya Seva Yojana Saptah (N. S. S. Week) Programme organized during 24 Sept. to 2 Oct. 2016.

 

Students trained in workshop on Cashless Awareness educated the people about cashless transaction.
